in 1899 during the era of colonialism. The city grew from a deport and today
it has become the largest city in East Africa with many administrative
offices as well as tourism attractions. It is also the safari capital of
Kenya with most of the tours starting from Nairobi as well as a trade hub.

The Nairobi National
Park
Nairobi National Park was
established in 1946. It is a unique Park given that it is located with in
Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Being a mere 8 miles from the city centre,
Nairobi is the most accessible Park in Kenya. A visit to this Park is
rewarding given that the Park hosts over 100 animal species including rhino,
lions, cheetahs (with an exception of the elephant) and an amazing 500 plus
bird species.
The National Museum
Kenya National Museum - Nairobi City Tour The National Museum is located
within Nairobi City and is an excellent place to visit while in the city.
The museum is famous the Leakey prehistoric artefacts plus some of Kenya's
best preserved tribal artefacts that date back hundreds of years. Other
sights within the museum include well preserved birds, butterflies and
animals and host of information about the country's rich past and culture.
- Karen Blixen Museum
Karen Blixen Museum, the historic house of the famous Danish woman,
Karen Blixen, on whom the movie ‘Out of Africa’ was based, is
located in the outskirts of the city within serene gardens. The
house is ideally located near the Karen Blixen coffee garden,
gallery and gift shop which echo themes of the museum.

- Bomas of Kenya is located in the
outskirts of the city and is an ideal spot for visitors to Kenya and
locals alike to visit and savour the very best of the country's rich
traditional dances performed by Kenya's many tribal communities.
They range from the high jumping Maasai's to the breath taking
Giriama and coastal dances.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a small flexible charity,
established in memory of David Sheldrick, famous Naturalist and
founder Warden of Kenya's giant Tsavo East National Park in which he
served from 1948 until 1976

to view giraffes as well as feed them, kiss them, touch them- just a

Day Trip - Rift valley/Lake Nakuru - Full Day
Lake Nakuru lies in the volcano strewn Great Rift Valley. Enjoy the
view of the Great Rift Valley from the escarpments and then descend
to the Lake Nakuru National Park. A game drive to view spectacular
thousands of flamingos and other bird species in addition to viewing
the white and black Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo and Waterbuck among
others. Lunch is served at either Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake
Nakuru Lodge. A stop over will be made at Lake Naivasha, time
permitting.
