Day 1: Nairobi > Masai Mara
After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve, stopping at the view point of the Great Rift Valley and at Narok for lunch and refueling. We arrive in time for a late afternoon game drive in this ‘big game country’ famed worldwide for its high animal concentration, abundance and variety. Diner and overnight are at a lodge or campsite.
Day 2: Masai Mara
After breakfast, proceed for a day tracking game with your guide. Virtually every type of animal is found in the Mara, which has extensive road and track network which allows excellent photography, making it the best and most visited in Kenya. There is a break for a leisurely lunch at the hippo pool. Return to the lodge/ campsite towards the end of the day for a diner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai Mara
There is early breakfast followed by a morning game drive. Lunch is at the campsite. In the afternoon there is an option of either going for either a game drive or nature walk with our Masai guides; at an extra cost you may visit a local Masai Village to see their nomadic lifestyle. Diner and overnight are at a lodge/ campsite.
Day 4: Masai Mara > Nakuru
There is an early cup of tea or coffee after which you will proceed on you final pre- breakfast game drives. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast then depart for Nakuru with lunch enroute. Diner and overnight are at a lodge/ campsite.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru > Nairobi
After breakfast proceed for a game drive in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park, which has a fantastic array of birds including flamingos, white pelicans and the marabou stork that breed in the lake’s alkaline waters. Waterbuck and Cape buffalo can be seen on the shoreline. The Rothschild’s giraffe and the white rhino are an additional attraction. With luck you may spot a leopard. After lunch you will leave for Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon.
